Protecting more than 300 native, endemic, rare and threatened tree species, the Osa Arboretum is an ideal environmental education site which connects people to nature as they learn about Osa’s flora. With a trail network spanning 617 acres across coastal, mangrove, secondary and old growth forests, the Osa Arboretum aims to be one of the largest arboretums in Central America. The Osa Arboretum is an initiative of Osa Conservation, a non-profit organization that has been protecting the Osa since 2003.
El Arboreto Osa se encuentra en la península de Osa, Costa Rica, una de las regiones biológicamente más intensas del planeta. Protegiendo a más de 300 especies de árboles nativos, endémicos, poco comunes y amenazados. El Arboreto de Osa es un sitio ideal para la educación ambiental, que conecta a las personas con la naturaleza a medida que aprenden sobre la flora de región.
Con una red de senderos que abarca 617 acres a través de bosques secundarios, primarios, costeros y manglares, el Arboreto de Osa pretende ser uno de las colecciones de plantas más grandes de Centramérica. El Arboreto de Osa es una iniciativa de Conservación Osa; una organización sin fines de lucro que ha protegido la riqueza biológica de Osa desde 2003.
