Plant Story

This tree, which reaches up to 20 meters tall, grows from Costa Rica to Peru and Bolivia. In Costa Rica, it has only been recorded on the Osa Peninsula. The tree is easily identified due to its large, fuzzy leaves, each with two glands that look like black dots at the base of the underside of the leaf.

Este árbol de hasta 20 metros de alto, se encuentra de Costa Rica a Perú y Bolivia. En Costa Rica solo se conoce en la Península de Osa. Se identifica con cierta facilidad debido a sus hojas grandes, cubiertas de pelos, con dos glándulas como puntos negros en la base de la hoja por debajo.
