The flowers are white, its pollinator is unknown, the fruits are green or yellowish, when they are very ripe they open by themselves and expose their seeds, which are enveloped by a reddish structure edible for animals called aril. This species is known from Mexico to Venezuela and Bolivia.

Las flores son blancas, no se conoce su polinizador, los frutos son verdes o amarillentos, cuando están muy maduros se abren solos y exponen sus semillas, las cuales están envueltas por una estructura rojiza comestible para los animales llamada arilo. Esta especie se conoce desde México hasta Venezuela y Bolivia.
