This understory tree can only be found in Southern Costa Rica and Colombia; it is especially characteristic of Costa Rica’s Osa Peninsula. Its flowers are cream-colored, and generally are tightly grouped to form an eye-catching structure. Its fruits are mainly eaten by birds.
Este árbol de sotobosque solo se encuentra en el sur de Costa Rica y en Colombia; en la Península de Osa de Costa Rica es sumamente característico. Las flores son color crema, generalmente están bien agrupadas formando una estructura llamativa. Sus frutos pueden ser comidos por aves principalmente.
