Plant Story

This tree ranges between 10 to 20 meters high and is commonly found in seasonal forests. Guapira costaricana es un árbol de 10 a 20 metros de alto, frecuente de encontrar en bosques estacionales, las flores son verdosas, y son visitadas por insectos como abejas y mariposas y los frutos maduran rojos o morados, y son consumidos principalmente por aves. Esta especie crece en climas secos a muy húmedos, es conocida desde el sur de México hasta Colombia, en Costa Rica se encuentra ampliamente en la vertiente pacífica.
