Plant Story

This is a small tree that resides in the understory. The pollinator of its green flowers is not well known. Its fruits are linear and elongated. The tree grows in humid primary and altered forest, and has been documented from southern Mexico to Bolivia; in Costa Rica, it grows along both the Pacific and Atlantic slopes, though it is found most commonly in the South Pacific.

Este es un árbol de porte pequeño, crece en el sotobosque. Sus flores son verdes, no se conoce bien su polinizador, los frutos son lineares, alargados. Crece en bosques primarios e intervenidos, en climas húmedos y muy húmedos, se conoce desde el sur de México hasta Bolivia, en Costa Rica se encuentra en ambas vertientes, pero principalmente en el pacífico sur.
